Gildenburgh, Peterborough
The lake at Gildenburgh water is a former brickworks closed and flooded in the 1940’s. The site is a PADI 5* development centre and has toilet, shower, shop, food/bar and air fill facilities
Maximum depth is around 22m with several entry points and staggered depth training stages.
Beneath the water there is a bus, boats, car, plane and various other sites most linked by ropes.
Located south east of Peterborough
Blue Lagoon, Bletchley
Home of Milton Keynes Diving Club, the Blue lagoon at Bletchley (Bluey) is available by prior arrangement.
The lake is rainfed and can have a very steep temperature gradient (when last dived bottom was 8°C with a surface of 19°C), so wrap up warm!
Max depth is 18m and visibility is generally fair. There are many submerged items (boats, cars, aircraft, Bus etc). Of particular interest are the population of crayfish. These can be seen at 18m but more so in the shallow weed banks on the northern edge of the lake.
There are no facilities so bear this in mind!
